Pecos River: Continental Ranch

Wilderness camping- “no frills” style, in a lush desert environment.  The Pecos River provides the setting for our Southwest Texas adventure.  Thirty 300-foot limestone walls edge along the beautiful Pecos River on the Continental Ranch.  Take in hiking, canoeing/kayaking, rock art tours, swimming, fishing, floating, mountain biking, and of course plenty of climbing!  For more information, visit the official Pecos River Climbing Website and view our Pecos River Photo Gallery.

Allow 2 days of travel time.  Clients must arrange for transportation to the Continental II Ranch house where they will meet Rock-About guides.

Prices: Contact for pricing. Dependent on amount of people, boating or not, overnight backpacking or not, food catering, camping gear provisions, etc.

First, you must contact Rock-About to discuss specifics for an Adventure course and your current climbing skill level.

Registration and payment confirmation for adventures, must be made before 2 weeks before the class date.

If you register online you must pay the required course deposit one week in advance of class date to confirm your class.  If you want to register for a class within 48 hours of class time. Please contact Rock-About by phone.

72 hour cancellation notice required for refund of deposit.  Rain outs will be called by Rock-About guides the day of the class. If class is canceled, fees will be refunded or held for a rain check.

It is the participant’ s responsibility to arrange any overnight accommodations/camping and pay any applicable park fees before meeting Rock-About staff at the location designated in your confirmed registration.

Graduates of our Climbing Programs receive discounts on adventures to the Pecos River and Mexico.

All required registration forms and release forms can be found here and must be completed and returned to Rock-About no later than two weeks before your scheduled climb along with a full list of all participating climbers.
