Milton Reimer’s Ranch Travis County Park is a limestone jewel that has become a favorite crag for the local climbing community. Being only about 40 minutes from downtown Austin, Reimer’s offers gorgeous adventures without having to travel a great distance to enjoy the climbing that Rock-About offers.
Reimer’s Ranch Climbing has happened at this park since the early 90’s where the Reimer’s family were gracious to allow climbing on their beautiful land. Set on the banks of the Pedernales River and cut by one of the most lush springs in the hill country. Eventually the family was ready to move on and sought out the Travis County Parks system and has been under their ownership since 2005. Also, in that same purchase was a new area, called The North Shore where tons of new climbing has become available in recent time. The climbing at Reimer’s is some of the best limestone cragging in the country.
Having climbs varying from easy to world class hard, this locale will test a first time climber or the pro alike. The Central Texas Mountaineers maintain hardware so you can rest assured that you will be clipping onto good bolts and chains.
Rock-About has been guiding and climbing at Reimer’s Ranch since the very beginning. Also, many of the routes at this park have been bolted by RA folks. We pride ourselves on knowledge of this awesome crag and ability to teach our clients how to climb on limestone successfully. After a fun day of climbing you can enjoy their many trails on a mountain bike, fish for small mouth bass in the Pedernales, and take a dip in the river to cool off in summer. The beauty, climbing, and a Guided trip with Rock-About make this a worthwhile adventure for everyone.

As a beginner, I found the experience to be fantastic...I got much more than my money’s worth and highly recommend them.
I wanted to let you know how much Ariel and I enjoyed our rock climbing experience at Enchanted Rock with Chris. I could not have asked for a better instructor for her.
