An introduction to rock climbing for anyone who wants to experience a safe vertical adventure. This class embraces all levels and focuses on a fulfilling day of climbing.
Rock-About believes climbing young can help kids grow and become great adults. Our Austin summer camps are a great way to get your kids outside in a safe way.
Rock climbing builds positive interactions with others as well as teaches them to work together as a team. We offer many kids’ Summer Climbing Camps and a Spring Break camp as well.
Camps are for kids 9 and up. No experience needed, but experienced climbers are encouraged to join also as we can challenge any level of climber.
Our Climbing Camps are day camps that include five great days of climbing at great Texas locations, with two days at the Austin Greenbelt, three days at Reimer’s Ranch. When appropriate and safe we take the kids swimming after they have climbed in the morning. On Tuesdays each week we take them to Amy’s Ice Cream for an awesome local treat, and this is the pick up for that day.
Each day, we meet at the first climbing location near 360 (Capitol of TX Hwy) and Hwy 1 (Mopac). The camp goes from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m each day
This camp goes to all our Austin area locations: Reimer’s Ranch, and the Austin Barton Creek Greenbelt.

When your scout or nonprofit group is ready to learn how to climb in a fun and safe environment, Rock-About Climbing Adventures is here to help! We’ve been teaching scout and nonprofit groups for more than twenty years, and we love helping kids discover the adventure that is rock climbing.
When you book a group session with Rock-About, we provide all of the gear necessary, so all you need to bring is lunch and drinks. Most group climbing programs take all day, so wear comfortable clothes and be prepared for a full day of climbing!
If you’re leading a scout group that is seeking a Merit badge, we can help with that as well. For merit badge groups, we have at least one merit badge counselor on-site during the class. With our skilled, certified instructors and years of experience teaching scouts, we are proud to be the most sought-after climbing instructors for Boy and Girl Scouts in Texas.
